Teaching Philosophy

The ability to trade financial markets successfully with a robust strategy and good risk management cannot be leaned in a weekend or even a week. Trading is a multi-layered skill, requiring a deep understanding of the relationship between fundamentals, technicals, trading psychology and risk management. Practical trading skills also need to be mastered, so we provide you with a dedicated dealing desk all day every day of your chosen programme – not just a few short trading sessions during our courses to practice a bit of trading. (A typical student on our 3-month courses will spend over 400 hours at their trading desk during their programme).

LAT is also the only academy offering customised accredited qualifications in financial markets trading. It has taken a lot of hard work and commitment for LAT to become an accredited academy and this quality and attention to detail is reflected in the teaching and assessments that we can offer you for you to achieve your desired qualifications.

The London Academy of Trading has assembled a formidable academic team of lecturers and mentors to provide aspiring traders with the knowledge they require to build a successful trading career. Working under the direction of Academy Director Paddy Osborn, all senior lecturers are specialists in their particular fields, each having traded for many years either with their own money or at major international banks and investment houses.

The emphasis is on providing real-life, real-time practical trading experience. You will have direct access to the team of trade mentors at all times, giving you the opportunity to learn from any mistakes through the experience and guidance of the team.
